Blue7 - Biography
The LARGE CANVASES from the TEMPLE SHOW that are currently on this site were painted in Nachalong, five kilometers outside of Pai, Maehongson, Northern Thailand. I lived there for four months while painting these. I have been a professional Artist for 25 years. However, the paintings would not have happened, as such, if not for the beautiful country of Thailand and specificaly the area around Pai.
The works are fundamentally spiritual. They describe events or concepts that have become very important to me in my constant search for clues to the eternal questions. I think that they are serious but full of positive exuberance--I hope you agree too.
The paintings were exhibited at the local Buddhist Temple in Nachalong. I wanted to show the local farmers and friends and neighbors what I had been doing in their village. The location was the basis for the visuals of this web site.
For the week that the paintings were up for the villagers to see I gave a lesson to the local village children on how to stretch a canvas and apply paint. As well as gave them craft supplies and art lessons. We had a blast playing Frisbee and chess too. I personally believe that we foreigners are supposed to give something back to the communities that allow us felang to be here. We are all one.
sHORT rESUME AND hISTORY...
2003-present> I left an established career in Hollywood to
redirect my creative efforts, pointing it all
toward Art and cultural exploration.
I plan on continuing this effort with Murals and Other Works
around the world. I usually give away my murals (for
free) to businesses and guest houses that seem to
deserve a helping hand. Usually if I find a good
heart I give them something that will help them
with their own goals. I believe that Art has power and
can influence the atmosphere of any area.
1988-2003> Fifteen Years in Hollywood:Film and Commercial Story boards, Production Illustration,
Visual Effects Designer, Art Dept. Head and Animation Director at
BOSS Film and CINESITE Hollywood. I also Directed and Produced and
Wrote my own short film ~‘Girl With a Tail’~ which can be viewed at

I have earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Illustration with an
emphasis on Design from California State University at Long Beach.
